The American artist Joseph Cornell (1903- 1972) has been a great
inspiration for Peter Blake. Cornell is sometimes referred to as
Americas first surrealist in which he
arranged fragments of found objects. He lived a rather isolated life taking care of his mother
and disabled brother, never leaving the New York City area. Peter Blake sends out Cornell
on a travel through Europe in a set of paper collages enabling him to 'visit' places he couldn’t travel to in his own life.
This limited edition print is number 93 of 150 signed by Peter Blake in a white box frame to 26cm x 35cm.
